# Prime

Venus Prime has two deployed contract generations. BNB Chain uses PrimeV2 with a leaderboard; the other current mainnet rows still use Prime V1.

## Mainnet version map

The following state was read on 2026-08-27:

| Network   | Prime consumer                               | Generation | PLP mode                | PLP paused |

PLP means PrimeLiquidityProvider. A paused PLP does not by itself prove that the Prime deployment is deprecated; it proves only that PLP transfers were paused at the observed block. Check current product support, the Prime contract, and all funding paths before assigning a lifecycle state.

{% hint style="danger" %}
The child PrimeV2 and PrimeLeaderboard pages apply only to BNB Chain. Do not use their ABI, leaderboard eligibility, or permissionless minting model for a Prime V1 deployment.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs-v4.venus.io/technical-reference/reference-core-pool/prime.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
